Course Description

Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life
support and what to do in the case of an airway obstruction or choking.
ASHI's CPR programs are based on the most current science and guidelines for
cardiopulmonary resuscitation and are consistent with other national CPR programs.

Course includes the above content plus training in the use of Automated External
Defibrillation (AED). This Training provides the victim with rapid defibrillation access
before EMS arrival, greatly increasing the chance of survival. Training includes recognition
of unresponsive victims, reviews of equipment operation and maintenance, discussion of
treatment and valuable hands-on practice designed to increase skills.

Course Length:
CPR ONLY: Adult: 2.5 hours, Pediatric: 3 hours, Combined: 4 hours
CPR & AED: Adult 3 hours, Pediatric 3.5 hours, Combined 4.5 hours

Intended Audience
This class is for individuals who want or need basic CPR with or without AED skills

Required Student Materials, Text and completion card  are all included in the fee.

Card Type: 2 year course completion certification
Written/Skills Exam: Required for completion card.
