Course Description

The objective of his course is to familiarize employers,employees, and community members
with bloodborne pathogens. This coarse has been developed to assist those who may have
exposure to bloodborne pathogens in compliance with the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard (29
CFR 1910.1030) promulgated by the Occupational Safety & health Administration (OSHA).

This program will familiarize students with exposure control plans, safe work practices,
standard precautions, communication and record keeping.

Course Length: 2 hours

Intended Audience
Employers, employees with duties of exposure, Healthcare providers, such as physicians,
nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and
occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing
students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied
health personnel,
